Roles & Responsibilities

Each Welfare Officer is allocated a number of club members living within their catchment area.
On average they will have approximately 20 to 25 members.
Their key role is to make themselves known, provide support and signpost information as required. They will provide their contact details to their members.
They are the “Eyes and Ears” of the Committee and speak regularly to the Welfare Co-ordinator. They will also reach out to ex-colleagues to encourage them to become members to the club.
The bank supports each club by providing annual grants to help and offer assistance, if required, to members who are ill.

Each Welfare officer will offer the club’s support to anyone hospitalised and provide support where able to the member's families on deaths.

Welfare Officers often attend the funeral on behalf of the club and it's members. If they are unable to attend they will contact other neighbouring officers, or the Welfare co-ordinator.
All expenses incurred will be covered by the club
If you would like more details please use the Contact us page and Gwen or Hilary will be in touch.
